Fall has finally come to Oklahoma, and the weather is divine. The forecast from Intellicast this morning was for scattered thunderstorms. Intellicast blew it. We had brilliant blue skies, a nice breeze and warm sunshine. Just perfect for a day at Swan Lake and Linnaeus Teaching Gardens. It was hard to pick just twelve keepers this month, but I did it. Here's what I saw, and forgive me if I don't know the names of the flowers.

A Swan at Swan Lake - 10:48 a.m.

Purple flowers in beautiful light - 11:02 a.m.

Orange flowers - 11:05 a.m.

Maybe Milkweed (?) - 11:07 a.m.

More purple and orange flowers - 11:26 a.m.

Another swan at Swan Lake - 11:33 a.m.

Barrel Cactus at Linnaeus Teaching Gardens - 11:45 a.m.

Purple and green looking good together - 11:59 a.m.

There's a Monarch Butterfly in this picture - 12:00 p.m.

I don't have a clue what these are, but they were
really striking against the green grass - 12:02 p.m.

This picture just made me smile - 12:03 p.m.

Water Lily - 12:08 p.m.
I know I bombarded you with flowers this month, but I'm hoping they'll tide you (and me) over during the darker months to come. I do best when the sun shines, so I'll be coming back here often to remind myself of this beautiful fall day. Hope to see you next month.

Oh, the flowers! I know what you mean - hold on to the warmer temps a little longer. Your photos are beautiful, as they are every month.
Thanks for sharing them!
