Wednesday, May 12

It was a mostly cloudy day here in Tulsa, but no rain interfered with the day's shoot. My shooting buddies, Mary and Jeanne, came over this morning for coffee and coffeecake (home made, by the way), and then we headed out to Oral Roberts University to see what we could see.

"Little Man," a borrowed garden gnome, in my front yard - 9:22 a.m.

The former City of Faith Medical and Research Center at ORU. It is now known as Citiplex Towers and is 2.2 million square foot office complex - 12:01 p.m.

A waterfall on the Citiplex Towers grounds - 12:07 p.m.

Prayer Tower at ORU - 12:33 p.m.

"The Master Teacher" by Beverly Paddleford - 12:55 p.m.

Detail of Jesus' feet and sandals - 1:03 p.m.

My shooting buddies, Jeanne and Mary - 1:11 p.m.

View from the top of the Prayer Tower - 1:33 p.m.

Playing in the mirrored windows at the base of the Prayer Tower (notice the majorly cute orange shoes) - 1:43 p.m.

More playing in front of the mirrored windows (just ignore the tree branches coming out of my head) - 1:47 p.m.

One of the beautiful flower beds at ORU - 1:52 p.m.

Bronze Sculpture called Praying Hands, which now sits at the entrance to Oral Roberts University, was originally directly in front of the lobby of the City of Faith - 2:36 p.m.

This was my first visit to the ORU campus, but I'm sure it won't be my last. The buildings are architecturally interesting, and the gardens are beautiful, inviting places to sit and enjoy watching the world go by. See you next month.
